Teaching in Higher Education

Since September 2026, I have been a Part-time Lecturer (Maîtresse de conférences associée) at the Sorbonne Nouvelle in the applied foreign languages department. I teach professional training modules, as well as a class on economic translation, on the Master's in legal and financial translation, and I also teach on the department's trilingual cultural management Master's course, as well as in the third year of the undergraduate degree in applied languages.

Since 2017, I have taught a module on media, gender and identity at the CIEE Paris Open Campus.

Between 2002 and 2015, I taught French language and literature at university level in a range of different contexts. I gave lectures and ran seminars in 19th and 20th century French literature, art history and linguistics, as well as teaching translation, writing skills, methodology and translation.

During this time, I also taught English language classes (private tuition and university classes) at various differents levels.

I have taught at the University of London Institute in Paris (2003-4, 2005-2006 and 2010-2012) as well as at the Universities of Warwick (2004-6), Oxford (2003-6) and Grenoble (2007-8) and the American University in Paris (2013-15).

In 2005–2006, I completed the Associate Teacher in Higher Education Training Course at Oxford Brookes University. This teaching qualification for Higher Education practitioners was assessed on the basis of a dissertation based on teaching experience and the programme is accredited by the Higher Education Academy.
