Teaching in Higher Education


Since 2002, I have taught French language and literature at university level in a variety of different contexts. I have given lectures and run seminars in 19th and 20th century French literature, art history and linguistics, as well as teaching translation, writing skills, methodology and translation. I have also taught English language classes (private tuition and university classes) at various differents levels.

I have taught at the University of London Institute in Paris (2003-4, 2005-2006 and 2010-2012) as well as at the Universities of Warwick (2004-6), Oxford (2003-6) and Grenoble (2007-8) and the American University in Paris (2013-15).

I currently teach a module on media, gender and identity at the CIEE Paris Open Campus as well as an English-French translation course at the University of Paris 3 - Sorbonne Nouvelle.

In 2005–2006, I completed the Associate Teacher in Higher Education Training Course at Oxford Brookes University. This teaching qualification for Higher Education practitioners was assessed on the basis of a dissertation based on teaching experience and the programme is accredited by the Higher Education Academy.
