I have worked as an independent specialist academic translator since 2005 now. My fields of expertise go beyond my own research disciplines and encompass the Social Sciences and Humanities more generally, as well as certain areas of ICT. Bilingual and bicultural from birth, I translate into both English and French.
As well as translating articles, books, funding applications and other academic texts, I also offer a proofreading service for academic texts in French and in English.
For more detailed information regarding these services, please consult my professional website.
In parallel with my academic translation work, I am also embarking on a long-term literary translation project in partnership with Dr Francesco Manzini, a fellow Stendhal specialist and Lecturer at Oriel College, Oxford. We will be working on new translations of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century fiction currently poorly served by existing translations (with particular focus on both Stendhal and Decadent fiction) as well as translations of eighteenth, nineteenth- and twentieth-century texts that have yet to be made available to an English-speaking readership (with particular focus on women writers).
